Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) Festival
In line with Singapore's vision to be a global creative and entrepreneurial nation, NTC spearheads the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) Festival with the following objectives:
- To promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and inspire the NTU community to act on their entrepreneurial and innovative talents, ideas and energy towards establishing tomorrow's leading companies.
- To showcase NTU's Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and provide an experiential learning platform for evaluating and creating new business ventures.
- To strengthen the bond amongst NTU population and the industry players within a strong atmosphere of entrepreneurialism.
Some of the key features of the E&I Festival are as follows:
- Entrepreneurship Forum (on key issues with regards to entrepreneurship development)
- Dialogue session (with experienced entrepreneurs)
- Networking session (with top business owners, entrepreneurs and investors)
- Speaker Series (that deals with specific issues including IP Management, Venture Funding, etc.)
With this annual initiative, NTC hopes to provide wider opportunities for NTU students to engage and expand their network with industry people, entrepreneurs and investors.

Ideas.Inc. Business Challenge
The Ideas.Inc. Business Challenge is a unique competition that brings together a powerful combination of funding support and expert mentorship for aspiring young entrepreneurs. By giving participating teams early-stage capital and mentoring advice, the competition speeds up the commercialization of innovative new products and services from idea to market.
Launched in 2009, its ultimate goal is to foster a pool of talented market-savvy young business people with innovative new businesses that have strong competitive advantage, scalable IP and market potential beyond Singapore.
Organized by the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center and SPRING Singapre, the nationwide competition provides the following funding and cash prizes for innovative business ideas:
- Ideas Development Fund
Each ideas will receive up to $15,000 to develop it further into a prototype or service mechanisms. The funding also covers for investigation of market readiness and commercial viability of the idea.
- Commercialization Fund
Successful grand-finalists will receive a matching fund of up to $50,000 to commercialise their product or service.
- Cash Prizes
First Prize : $15,000
Second Prize : $10,000
Third Prize : $8,000
Consolation prizes $2,000 cash each (for third, fourth and fifth runner-up).

NTU-NTC Entrepreneurship Speaker Series
The University Entrepreneurship Speaker Series (ESS) is a series of seminars where participants interact with eminent entrepreneurs, innovators, intellectual-property lawyers, venture capitalists, private investors, business leaders, as well as government leaders, benefitting richly from the interpersonal interaction of the talks.
