Location

NTU has 2 campuses in Singapore.

The main campus is a 200-ha residential, garden campus located in the south-western part of Singapore, near the Jurong West Extension area. This campus is easily accessible by two expressways, the Pan-island Expressway (PIE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE). It is also near the Boon Lay bus interchange and the Boon Lay Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station.

NTU's second campus is located at NTU@one-north, right next to the Biopolis, Singapore's biomedical research hub.

By Car

The university is served by two entrances: Jalan Bahar entrance and Pioneer Road North entrance.

If you are coming by the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) in the direction of Tuas,

  • get off PIE at Exit 36
  • Turn right into Jalan Bahar after the down ramp and then look out for direction sign to the university
  • Turn left into Nanyang Avenue and proceed ahead to the Jalan Bahar entrance
  • About 5 m from the entrance is an information kiosk with a campus map, if you need help to navigate and locate the building you are visiting

If you are coming by the PIE in the direction of Changi Airport,

  • Get off the PIE at Exit 38
  • Keep left and look out for a direction sign to the university
  • Follow the sign to access via the Pioneer Road North entrance
  • Turn left if you are heading for the academic buildings and Chinese Heritage Centre
  • Go right if you are heading for Nanyang Executive Centre, NIE and residential apartments

If you are coming by Pioneer Road,

  • Drive straight towards Pioneer Road North which passes under the PIE flyover
  • Look out for a direction sign to the university
  • Proceed ahead to the Pioneer Road North entrance

By Bus

Two public buses ply from the Boon Lay bus interchange to the campus, they are SBS bus service no. 179 and 199. Each goes round the campus in a separate loop, starting and ending at the Boon Lay bus interchange.

The bus stop numbers (in brackets) are found on bus stop sign posts and names of key buildings / facilities are written on bus stop shelters.

Special Note:
The Lee Wee Nam Library (27211) bus stop and the B11 Sch of Comm & Info (2723A) bus stop are the two most important stops in the NTU bus routes (for bus service no.179). The former leads to the Academic Complex North, and the latter leads to the Academic Complex South. Most schools and administrative offices are located in or around either one of these two complexes. Bus service no. 199 has a stop, B10 School of Education (27219) that is directly opposite the Lee Wee Nam Library (27211) bus stop. This may also be used to get to the Academic Complex North, the NIE Administration Building and nearby buildings. These three stops are highlighted in blue below.

Drivers may also find the car park guide (below) useful. The car parks are usually identified by alphabets on dark grey signboards, at eye-level (from driver’s position), at the entrances to the car parks.

Yellow parking lots are reserved lots. Please park in the white lots only.
