In less than three decades, the School's accountancy programme has earned world-wide recognition - its graduates are readily accepted by the business community and its degrees are recognised by reputable overseas Universities. In its continued strive for academic excellence and to meet the needs of industry for professionally-trained graduates, the School has also expanded its curricula to offer a variety of specialised business degrees.
The School's academic programmes have consistently met high standards in terms of instruction and criteria for student admission. Strong emphasis is given to good teaching and research. Innovative teaching methods are encouraged in the classrooms to enhance student learning. The School has highly qualified faculty, some 250 strong, most of whom possess sound professional and managerial experience before joining the School. Faculty are encouraged to undertake cosultancy work of a specialised nature in order to keep abreast of developments in business and industry. To ensure the relevance of its courses and graduates to industry, corporations and leading businessmen and managers are invited to participate actively in the School's academic and research programmes.

The School is also developing vigorously its postgraduate degree programmes by coursework and research.
A unique feature of the Nanyang MBA is the provision of general business and management education combined with rigorous specialised training. The MBA (MOT) programme is offered in collaboration with the Engineering Schools. 1998 will see the launch of the prestigious MBA (Nanyang Fellows) Programme which will be taught in collaboration with the Sloan School of Management, MIT. Funding for this programme came from the Totalisator Board and the government.
The School also offers postgraduate degrees by research such as the Masters in Accountancy, Master in Business, and Ph.D. programmes..
These postgraduate programmes fit in very well with the School's mission which is to excel in accountancy and business education.
