Abstract

The PI has been working on the following aspects/ technology:
  1. Chiral Stationary Phases (CSP) for analytical and process scale enantioseparations.
  2. Chiral Ionic Liquids: Novel applications in Enantioseparations.
  3. Chiral Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM): An approach towards a rapid methodology for correlating structures of the chiral selector to Enantioseparations of specific analytes.
Key IPs / publications created have resulted in a technology spin-off company1, 2. In this presentation, key thoughts on the applications of functional cyclodextrins in the following areas will be presented.
  1. Applications of cyclodextrins (CD) / CD-based ionic liquids for stabilization and size control of gold nanoparticles.
  2. Nanocomposites for applications in chiral separation technologies.
