Mammographic Image Processing

Detection of microcalcificaion
  • Tiny specks of calcium - very small
  • Usually found in the area of rapidly dividing cells
  • If many microcalcifications are found in one area - called Cluster

Automated fluorescent penetration inspection

Inspection of aircraft components
  • Use of fluorescent die and UV light
  • Check for minute cracks
