Outlined below are the guidelines for organizing and
submitting a special session. As session organizer, you are
responsible for the paper review process and final paper
selection. If you are able to attend the conference, you will
also be invited to chair the session.
Paper Submission:
(a) The Session to be organized will have 5 or more papers.
(b) All papers for the special session will be submitted
directly to you. Otherwise, the paper will be handled as a
general paper for the conference.
(c) Although desirable, it is not necessary for you to include
your own paper in the session. Your paper can be arranged to
be reviewed by the IEEM2005 Program Committee upon request.
Paper Review and Selection:
(a) You will be responsible for having each paper reviewed by
at least two independent reviewers.
(b) You will make the final selection of papers for the
session.
(c) You will be responsible for sending the
acceptance/rejection letters and review comments to authors.
(d) Please email us all the full papers accepted by your
special session, as well as the corresponding author
information, by the general notification deadline. We will
send an IEEM2005 acceptance notification along with
registration information to the authors.
(e) All papers accepted for the special session are required
to register on or before the general conference registration
deadline.
At this time we require a title and a brief description of the
session (about 1 paragraph) specifying the importance of the
session and your brief biography. We will have this
information posted on the IEEM2005 web site under "special
sessions" for this conference. You will be able to use the
Special Session information on the IEEM2005 web site to invite
interested individuals to submit papers. We will let you know
the web link as soon as the information is posted on the web
site. Since all papers for this special session will be
submitted directly to you, please confirm your email address
that you prefer to use for receiving paper submissions.
Thank you for your interest in organizing a special session
for the conference and we look forward to hearing from you. If
you have further questions regarding the organization of a
special session or would like to submit a special session
topic for consideration, e-mail at
