The Division is involved in teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For the core mechanical engineering courses, the division contributes to the teaching of mechanisms, dynamics and control and mechanical engineering design. Some staff members also teach courses like Biomechatronics, Robotics, and Mechatronics System Interfacing.

In addition to the core undergraduate courses, staff members of the Division coordinate and manage the Design Stream and Mechatronics Stream Programmes. The programmes cater to selected students who are specifically interested in pursuing a specialisation studies in Industrial and Human Factors Design, or Mechatronics.
