The Engineering Mechanics Division is one of the six divisions in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. We have 38 faculty members who are dedicated to excellence in teaching and research.
Engineering Mechanics (EM) is the foundation of Mechanical Engineering (ME) education and research. EM Division staff teaching and research expertise are mainly in four knowledge domain areas:
1) Solid Mechanics
2) Dynamics, Vibration & Acoustics
3) Numerical Methods
4) Micro-Mechanics and Applied Physics
In addition to the faculty members, the overall manpower strength of the EM Division includes a number of adjunct staff members from research institute and industry, research staff, technical officers contributing to educational and research effort of the division. |
