There are 2 laboratories and a research centre under the management of the Division. These laboratories and centres are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to support teaching and research activities.

Centre for Mechanics of Micro-Systems

Mechanics of Microsystems Laboratory
Micromachines Laboratory

Mechanics of Machines Laboratory

Mechanics of Materials Laboratory

Electronic Packaging - reliability and failure testing and analysis
Active Materials & Structures - composite materials that incorporate piezoelectric, magnetostrictive, shape memory alloys, fiber optics sensors, etc.
Material Characterisation - visco-hydro-thermal, dynamic loading, etc.
Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) - structural defects detection schemes.
