Project L.O.V.E.

L.O.V.E ☼ BACKGROUND

Project L.O.V.E. (LDP Overseas Volunteer Experience) is an initiative undertaken by students of the Leadership Development Programme (LDP), set up by the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

Project L.O.V.E. will also provide the team with an opportunity to develop their organisational and leadership skills, and tackle the challenges of putting their knowledge into action for the benefit of society. The team hopes to share lessons learnt from the experience with the rest of the student community and cultivate the spirit of volunteerism in NTU.

L.O.V.E ☼ OBJECTIVES

  1. To be of service to communities around the world in need of assistance.

  2. To develop and provide opportunities to exercise leadership and teamwork skills.

  3. To create awareness of the problems humanity faces, the desire to make a difference, the belief that determination and commitment can change the world, and the confidence to act on that belief.

  4. To interact with people of different cultures and to experience their way of life, gaining an understanding of people from other nations.
