The aim of the Leadership Development Programme (LDP) is to nurture
talented MAE undergraduates and to challenge them beyond the regular
School curriculum. It seeks to imbue bright students with qualities of
leadership, inter-personal skills, creative thinking, independent
problem-solving and team-work, so as to further enhance their potential
as individuals and members of organizations and society. They will
participate in leadership training seminars and workshops,
self-improvement courses, and other activities organized by the School
or by the LDP members themselves.
Available only in the School of MAE, the Leadership Development
Programme (LDP) was initiated in 1998 with the intention of cultivating
and nurturing outstanding students, existing student leaders in NTU club
and societies, and distinguished students who have won national awards
in social services or others.
LDP aims to help such students develop leadership qualities such as
teamwork, creative thinking and inter-personal skills. LDP students are
given the opportunity to participate in enrichment seminars, forums and
workshops on personal development, political awareness and general
knowledge organized by the School, University or selected external
organizations. LDP students are also selected to have dialogue sessions
with visitors to the School of MAE to provide the students' perspectives
on issues which concern them.
Eligibility The Leadership Development Programme is
open to all MAE students who meet the selection criteria. Applicants are
required to attend an interview conducted by a panel of senior faculty
members. Successful applicants will be informed by email.
