Instruction to Online Reservation

Online Item Reservation

You can place hold on materials which have been loaned out or is currently on hold for someone. If successfully, your Library Account will be updated immediately. For details, please refer to the instructions.

You can reserve up to 10 items at any one time.

Reserve (red-spot) Books cannot be reserved.

To reserve periodicals/journals, titles which are on order and titles comprising multiple volumes, please fill in the reservation form available at the loan counter and hand it to our counter staff. You can also use the online reservation form.

INSTRUCTIONS

To reserve books online,

Login to Library Catalogue
Search for the required library item.
If the title status shows that no copies are currently available, click on Details.
You will be brought to a detailed record page. On the left hand side column, click Place Hold to place a reservation.
Type in your matriculation or staff card number when prompted, followed by your PIN and click Place hold.
When the item is ready for your collection, you will receive an email notice. The item will be held for you for 6 days from the day that you receive our pick-up notice.
