The EndNote programme is strictly
for the use of staff and students of Nanyang Technological University
(NTU) and National Institute of Education (NIE) only. For first time installation
or upgrade, please refer to the instructions below.
IMPORTANT NOTES :
- You must have Administrator's rights for your PC in order to install the software.
- UNINSTALL any earlier EndNote versions or trial versions and reboot/restart your PC before installing the current version.
- Ensure that you have done a back up of any custom citation styles, import filters and connection files that you do not want to be overwritten before upgrading to the newer version.
- Please use Internet Explorer (IE) while downloading the EndNote Windows version. Using other Internet browsers, like Firefox, will result in erroneous downloading functions.
EndNote X3 (Windows)
- Download the zip file EndNoteX3.zip which contains the files ENX3Inst.msi and License.dat on either your 'Desktop' or 'My Documents'.
- Unzip the zip file.
- Click on ENX3Inst.msi and select “Run”.
- Follow the instructions in the PDF file for Custom Installation. Please note that if you do not choose Custom installation, you will not be able to import citations from some databases, nor connect to the NTU Library Catalogue.
