I am a PhD student at the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. August 2009 to June 2013 (expected).
I hold a Bachelor of Technology degree majoring in Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai; studying at the Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College. June 2003 to June 2007.
I completed my schooling in Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Sr. Sec. School, Chennai. June 1989 to May 2003 majoring in Computer Science in my high school.

my research
My current research work is on identifying regions of attention from visual media (images and videos). One of the applications of this research is on retargeting or intelligently resizing the visual media in order to cater to a diverse set of display resolutions. My research is guided by Assoc. Prof. Deepu Rajan.
