of propargylic alcohols with phenols as an expendient route to indenols
is published in Organic Letters. Well done Xiaoxiang and Wan Teng!
September 2009: Xiaoxiang, Weidong and
Sally’s work on iron-catalyzed direct nucleophilic a-substitution
of Morita-Baylis-Hillman alcohols with alcohols, arenes, 1,3-dicarbonyl
compounds, and thiols is published
in Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry. The work was also chosen by the
editor and reviewers to be featured as the inside cover of the issue (see
