About me
I have been an Assistant Professor in the
Division of Computing Systems within the
School of Computer Engineering since December 2009. Previously, I graduated from
Imperial College London in 2003 with a First Class Honours MEng in Information Systems Engineering. I then completed a PhD, in 2007, in the
Circuit and Systems Research Group of the Imperial
EEE Department, under the supervision of
Prof. Peter Cheung and
Prof. Wayne Luk, with a thesis entitled “Hardware Acceleration of the Trace Transform for Vision Applications”. From 2007 to 2009, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at
CTVR,
Trinity College Dublin and Visiting Research Engineer at
Xilinx Research Labs, Ireland, working on adaptive architectures for cognitive and software-defined radio.
I maintain a strong interest in the areas of architecture design, computer arithmetic, algorithm acceleration and reconfigurable computing, across a range of application domains.
