Today’s manufacturing enterprises are facing the challenges to accurately promise and quickly deliver increasingly customized new products. As such, responsive, real-time operational performance throughout the entire product lifecycle is critical to the success for globally linked manufacturing enterprises. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) has been recognized as an effective means to address these challenges.

To confront such new challenges, this special issue is organized to encourage participants to share the latest research advances in PLM, such as new ideas, methodologies, techniques, frameworks, architectures, systems, tools, languages, and best practices. Submissions are invited on relevant topics, including, but not limited to:

·       PLM Collaboration and Concurrency

Ø     Product Lifecycle Information, Function, Process Modeling for Collaboration

Ø     Product Lifecycle Collaboration Protocol and Ontology

Ø     Collaboration Framework, Architecture and Infrastructure for PLM

Ø     Collaborative Enterprising Technologies in PLM

Ø     PLM and Supply Chain Management Integration

Ø     Multi/Intelligent Agent Technologies for Collaboration in PLM

·       PLM Technology and Methodology

Ø     Product Innovation Management and Virtual Product Innovation

Ø     Set-based Design, Innovative Development, Mass Customization

Ø     Design for Manufacturing/Assembly, Supply, Service and Recycling

Ø     Knowledge Management and Industrial Case Studies for PLM

Ø     Product Lifecycle Performance Modeling, Evaluation and Optimization

Ø     Decision support for PLM

·       PLM Infrastructure and Implementation

Ø     Web Service Solutions to PLM

Ø     E-Business & Ecosystem for PLM

Ø     Semantic Grid Service for PLM

Ø     Business Process Management for PLM

Ø     Product Lifecycle Portal and Exchange

Ø     Electronic Product Code (EPC) for PLM

The highest possible quality will be maintained at CERA and therefore, the aim of this special issue is to capture the state of art in PLM research in the form of a set of high-quality complementary papers.

Please submit papers in electronic form (word or pdf) to:

Email: xgming@sjtu.edu.cn
