Research Interest
| The main objective of our lab is to utilize the outstanding properties of metal and semiconductor nanoparticles to improve the current artificial photosynthetic system. Such a system would more effectively model Photosystem II, a key enzyme in photosynthesis that harnesses and converts solar energy to chemical energy. Efforts will be made in both bioinorganic chemistry and nanoscience to construct such a functional model: |
- Synthesis of superamolecular complexes to model the electron transfer processes in Photosystem II.
- Development and characterization of novel nanoparticles for practical applications.
