  • Introduction

Modern distributed computing systems appear in various forms such as computational Grids, large scale P2P system, and wireless sensor network. These systems all employ various resources and work in a complex distributed environment. To get full control and usage on the modern distributed system, information retrieval is therefore an important task.

Various information models, middleware, services and applications are developed in the research community of distributed computing, for example, industry information model, Grid information service, and semantic web for information retrieval. It is thus a good chance to conclude here for the advances of distributed information processing, especially for the modern typical distributed system, e.g., Grids, wireless sensor network, P2P system, multiple agent system, and Internet computing system.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

    • Information models, e.g., GLUE and CIM

    • Distributed information processing algorithm

    • Grid/Web information service and sensor grid

    • Semantic web information retrieval

    • Information service for p2p system

    • Middleware architecture and protocols for Grid and sensor network

    • Information and data fusion in Grid and sensor network

    • Signal processing in Grid and sensor network

    • Information security

    • Information service for distributed workflow

  • Submission Guidance

Please email your manuscripts in PDF to ADIP2008@gmail.com with the email subject as ^ADIP-08 paper submission ̄. All paper submitted should not be published or currently reviewed elsewhere. Papers should be limited up to 6 pages in IEEE CS format. All papers will be peer reviewed by two or three PC members. Submitting a paper to the workshop means that if the paper is accepted, at least one author should register to ADIP-08 and attend the workshop to present the paper.

  • Publication of Papers

All accepted papers will be included in the HPCC-08 proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society (EI Indexed). Selected papers will be invited to a special issue of SCI indexed scientific journal.

  • Important Date

    Paper Submission Due: April 30, 2008 May 10, 2008

    Acceptance Notification: June 10, 2008 June 15, 2008
