Theory of Signal Compression: non-uniform subband/transform coding, optimal subband decomposition, quantization noise shaping in subband/transform coding, distributed source coding, multiple description coding, multiple description subband coding
Multirate Signal Processing: FIR/IIR/linear phase/oversampled/warped filterbank characterization and design

Image/Video Compression: Using compressed sensing/distributed coding/multiple description coding/wavelet/fractal/lossless/motion field modeling

Vector Quantization: Variable dimension VQ, fast VQ, VQ with 2-D tiling

Image/Video Processing: watermarking, segmentation, halftoning, restoration, 2-D filter design, television video processing, postprocessing
