This bioengineering laboratory works at the interface of nanotechnology, biophysics, and biology in the efforts to develop novel biosensors and study cell biology (particularly, the biological processes mediated by or occurring at the cell membrane).

We believe such interdisciplinary fusion brings unprecedented opportunities and new tools to spy on the complex biological system at single cell or even single molecule level.
