The conference will be held at the Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC) on the campus of the Nanyang Technological University. The centre is ideally located in a quiet corner of the university campus and is easily accessible by public and private transport. Located about 25km from the city, the Nanyang Executive Centre is just 30 minutes away from Singapore’s main shopping and business districts, and is approximately 45 minutes from Changi Airport, by car.

Accommodation is available at the Centre. Each room is tastefully furnished and equipped with internet broadband and WiFi connection, a color television with cabled channels, electronic key card access, hairdryer, telephone and an alarm/radio clock.
This is the most convenient mode of transport to the University. From the airport, tell the taxi driver to head to NTU by use of the ECP, then by the PIE, and later to exit via Pioneer Road.
By Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Bus
Take the MRT from Changi Airport and alight at the Boon Lay station.
From Boon Lay station, make your way to the adjacent bus interchange. Services 179 & 199 will take you in to NTU.
Thereafter, alight at B03 "Hall 2" (2729A) if you take bus 179 and Campus Rider or B09 "Hall 8" (2720Z) if you take bus 199. The 179 and 199 bus trip will cost S$0.90 and should take approximately 20 minutes. After alighting, follow the CW2018 or NEC direction signs. It may be a problem to get a taxi from Boon Lay station after 24:00 hrs.
The conference bvanquette will be held at Jurong Bird Park on the 4th of October from 5:30pm to 10:00pm. The whole park will be booked only for the conference delegates. Before the conference dinner, the delegates will enjoy two private bird shows: Talking Birds (30 min) and Mini Bird Show (30 min). Sumptuous international buffet menu with free flow of drinks will be then offered to the delegates in Flamingo Lodge.

Major credit cards are accepted at the Nanyang Executive Centre. Money changers can be found downtown in shopping malls that are open from about 10-11am and close at 10pm.

The closest shopping complex to the University is Jurong Point, which is located near the Boon Lay MRT. However, if you are looking for a full fledged shopping experience, visit the city’s largest shopping stretch, Orchard Road.
Traveling around the City
Getting around Singapore is simple. The entire city is easily accessible through the many different types of public transport. Perhaps the most convenient and cost effective mode of transport is the well-connected and efficient MRT – Singapore’s subway system that dots the entire island. Metered taxis are also readily available 24 hours a day and can be booked in advance through the various hotlines. English is a commonly used language in Singapore, so don’t be shy to ask for directions.
The climate is warm and welcoming all year round with temperatures ranging between 28°C to about 35°C. For those who enjoy the sun and the beach, Singapore is an ideal place to be.
