Dr Shen Haifeng is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He received BEng in Computer Technologies and Applications in 1993 and MEng in Computer Organization and Architecture in 1997 from Tianjin University, China. He obtained the Ph.D degree in Computing and Information Technology in 2003 from Griffith University, Australia. He worked as a software engineer before pursuing his Master degree, and worked as a system administrator and programmer for Tianjin University before pursuing his Ph.D degree. Prior to joining NTU, he was a research fellow at Griffith University. Dr Shen's major areas of research interests include: Human Computer Interaction and Collaboration, Computer Supported Cooperative Work, Web Computing, Distributed Systems, Software Engineering, Collaborative Virtual Environments, and Information Systems.
