Research Fellow/Research Associate

Research positions are open for funded projects in the fields of intelligent agents, cognitive modeling, media analysis and machine learning. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of postgraduate students and software engineers in designing and developing cognitive agent technologies and applications.

Applicants for the position must satisfy the following requirement.

1.      A good PhD/MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

2.      Competency in Java programming and application prototype development.

3.      Good communication and writing skills.

4.      Research experience with publications in the fields of intelligent agents, cognitive modeling, media analysis and machine learning.

The position is for a period of two years, subject to review and renewal annually. The commencing salary for the above post will be highly competitive and commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications and experience.

Research Scholarship

A number of research scholarships leading to PhD degree are available for research and development in the fields of autonomous agents, media analysis, information management, and knowledge discovery.

Applicants for the scholarship should satisfy the following requirement.

1.      A good bachelor/master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

2.      Skilled in programming and experienced in developing application prototypes.

3.      Research interest and experience in autonomous systems, machine learning, media analysis, and/or knowledge discovery.
