Upgrade of STUDENT and ALUMNI Windows LIVE Accounts to Office365 Education
1. We had upgraded all STUDENT and ALUMNI Windows LIVE accounts to Office365 on the 26 JUNE 2013

After the upgrade you would own TWO Services:

- Office365 (your mailbox, LYNC, SharePoint Online) and

- Windows LIVE (your Skype and SkyDrive)

There would be NO CHANGE in your username and password.


2. If you had bookmarked the links www.outlook.com, www.hotmail.com or home.live.com in your web browsers, they would NOT be able to access Office365 after the upgrade.

Please update your bookmarked links on your web browser to http://www.outlook.com/e.ntu.edu.sg (i.e. to include e.ntu.edu.sg after www.outlook.com) as soon as possible


3. Kindly note that once your account had been upgraded, your existing Skype and SkyDrive is offered under MS Windows LIVE services. Windows LIVE services are not managed by NTU anymore.


The username and password to access Skype and SkyDrive remained unchanged i.e. while the username used to access Office365 and Windows LIVE services are the same, should you change the password of your Office365, this new password will not be updated to Windows LIVE services.

What are the benefits I would enjoy upgrading of my account from Windows LIVE to Office 365?
Your email mailbox will be increased from 10GB to 50GB. SkyDrive will be replaced by SharePoint Online which provides better searches. Skype will also be replaced by Lync Online

Is there any change to my email address or Office365 username?
Email addresses, username and password will remain the same after the upgrade.

How could I tell my account had been migrated to Office 365?
When you logon to your Email Mailbox from the web-browser, the Office365 logo would be displayed on the top left corner

I can¨t access my Email Mailbox from the web-browser from home.live.com, www.outlook.com or www.hotmail.com after migrating to Office 365!

What is the username I am to use to access my Skype and SkyDrive?
You can use the same user name and password as the Windows LIVE account.

My account had been migrated to Office 365. I had forgotten the password for my Skype and SkyDrive C please help how I can reset my password?
You can try to reset the password from http://accounts.live.com  If you are still experiencing the same issue, you need to contact the Windows Live or SkyDrive support as Live IDs is not managed by NTU anymore.

My existing Outlook 2007, 2010 profiles is unable to connect to my mailbox after migrated to Office 365 C please help.
In rare cases this happen, please try to repair the profile. You can refer to the link http://help.outlook.com/en-in/140/dd578302.aspx  If it still doesn¨t work, you may need to create a new outlook profile.


My existing iPhone, iPad, Andriod profiles is unable to connect to my mailbox after migrated to Office 365 C please help.
The mobile settings are the same as before so actually you don¨t need to update your mobile settings at all. However in rare cases you may need to re-discover the settings. You can refer to the link http://help.outlook.com/en-us/140/cc825479.aspx   If it still doesn¨t work, you may need to create a new profile.

My Mail for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or 10.7 Lion is unable to connect to my mailbox after migrated to Office 365 C please help.

TIPS: For IMAP setup, to find your server settings, sign in to your e-mail account using http://www.outlook.com/e.ntu.edu.sg  After you sign in, click Options > See All Options > Account > My Account > Settings for POP, IMAP, and SMTP access. The POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP server name and other settings you may need to enter are listed on the Protocol Settings page under POP setting or IMAP setting, and SMTP setting

I do not need my SkyDrive and Skype anymore. How do I close this account?
You could close the account from this link http://accounts.live.com . You just need to logon and then click Close Account
