About UROP
UROP stands for Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Programme. Its aim is to encourage more undergraduates to consider R&D
as a career choice. EEE has been offering UROP to its undergraduates
since 1997 during the Nov/Dec semester break. In EEE, UROP is
administered as an unrestricted elective (course code: EE0098), carrying
3 Academic Units (3AUs). Students are expected to conduct an independent
in-depth study of a particular topic under the supervision of an
academic staff. At the end of the UROP, they are expected to hand in a
20-page report, a 4 to 6-page conference style paper. A detailed
timeline of the UROP in EEE can be found
here. Templates and instructions for the preparation and submission
of the conference-style paper are available in this
UROP Kit. If you have any other question, please send an e-mail to
EEEUROP@ntu.edu.sg.
