Design and Innovation
Competition
A Design and Innovation Competition is usually held
in the last week of the project, to encourage students and their supervisors to
come up with the best innovative design. Prizes are awarded in the following
categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit. This event is compulsory for all
project groups and contributes to the overall grade of each student. More
information on the competition will be available during the first week of the
project.
Date of Preliminary Competition: 3rd June 2008
Time: 9:00am to 1:00pm
Venue: Individual Labs
The Program of the 2008 DIP
Preliminary Competition has been finalized. All the projects are divided into 6
groups. Each group is chaired by a DIP Committee Member and the respective
project supervisors in the group will be judges. The winner of each group will
participate in the Final. Each project is given 25 minutes for oral presentation
and answering questions.
