Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (NPGS)

The Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (NPGS) is a competitive and prestigious scholarship scheme designed to encourage outstanding graduates or final-year students to pursue their PhD at NTU. Funding will be provided for up to 4 years for NPGS awardees. Applicant must have a First Class Honours degree or equivalent at Bachelor's level. Preference will be given to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.

  Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)

The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National University of Singapore (NUS). The PhD training will be carried out in your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU or NUS. Upon successful completion, you will be conferred a PhD degree by either NTU or NUS.

NTU Research Scholarship  

PhD candidates will be eligible for NTU Research Scholarships. The Scholarships are tenable for one year in the first instance and are renewable annually, subject to satisfactory progress. The maximum duration of the award will be four years. Renewal of scholarship is subject to satisfactory periodic review. A research scholarship will be terminated if the candidate is issued a warning or placed on probation.

  A*STAR Graduate Scholarship

The AGS is a collaboration between A*STAR Graduate Academy (A*GA) and NTU. It offers a "4+2" scholarship - comprising a four-year Ph.D. study tenable at NTU, and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship (PDF) in one of the top overseas universities or research laboratories in the scholar's chosen field. The Ph.D. degree is awarded by NTU. Areas covered include Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering. There are also opportunities for overseas attachment of up to 12 months during the Ph.D. studies.

A*STAR International Graduate Scholarships (IGS)

The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is pleased to introduce the International Graduate Scholarships (IGS) programme. Under this scheme, outstanding undergraduate students from Iranian universities can undertake graduate studies at the Master's level at NUS, NTU and their partner institutions. PhD level studies may be tenable upon completion and distinction in the Master's programme.

  NRF (Clean Energy) PhD Scholarships

The National Research Foundation (NRF) is providing the NRF (Clean Energy) PhD scholarships that support up to four years of academic pursuit, leading to a PhD in the fields of Materials Science and Engineering. The research topics should be in areas related to Clean Energy. It is available to all nationalities.

NRF (Clean Energy) - Vestas Scholarship

Jointly funded by the NRF through EDB’s Clean Energy Programme Office and the Vestas Technology R&D Singapore Pte Ltd, graduates who have attained excellent undergraduate results and would like to proceed on to study a PhD/Master degree can now apply for the National Research Foundation (Clean Energy) – Vestas Scholarship. Candidates should have interest in wind energy systems and in a career with Vestas.

  ICPS - IC Design Postgraduate Scholarship for MEng and PhD

To develop the specialized manpower required for the local IC Design industry the EDB (Economic Development Board) of Singapore is fully funding MEng and PhD studies in the area of IC Design. Tuition Fees and a monthly stipend of $2500 are covered during the duration of the study. The maximum duration of the award will be four years for PhD and two years for MEng. There is a bond period of 2-3 years with an approved Singapore-registered company to serve upon graduation.

  JIP - IC Design Postgraduate Scholarship for MSc and MEng under the Joint Industry Postgraduate Programme

To develop the specialized manpower required for the local IC Design industry the EDB (Economic Development Board) together with industry partners fund MSc and MEng studies in the area of IC Design together under the JIP (Joint Industry Postgraduate ) programme. Tuition Fees and a monthly stipend are covered during the duration of the study. One of the industry partners is Texas Instruments who sponsors studies MSc/MEng under the NTU/TUM programme.
