The design competition on Storage Unlimited in Consumer Electronics was jointly organized
by the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Data Storage Institute (DSI)
for all NTU undergraduate students to unleash their creativities in the area of storage devices
and applications in consumer electronics. The competition was sponsored by Seagate Technology International.
The final of the competition was held on 29 July 2004 at DSI.
On 9th September 2004, the winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony at the Function Room (on top of NTU Medical Centre and beside the MLT), and top winners will be presenting their designs to a group of invited guests and the representatives from the media. In conjunction with Science '04, there will be display of posters and exhibits of the 10 best designs at the Function Room from 7th to 9th September 2004. All interested students are invited to view the creative creations of NTU students. On top of that, as part of educational activities, the Data Storage Institute will exhibit some optical and magnetic storage devices. NTU and DSI look forward to next year's design competition and would like to invite all NTU students to participate in this creative exercise.
