IEM Students Clinched the Top Prize in 48Hacks National Hackathon 2011

Let me introduce my team members, they are Song Chuan (IEM), Michael Lim Chun Siong (IEM), Ong Chi Hi (IEM), and Soh Yi Heng from Digipen. Our team, 'Swordfish' is very dynamic in term of individual's talent and we as a team were determined to win in this competition. This competition is called 48 Hacks because participants were required to create an application within 48 hours using a mystery sensor which was only revealed on the day itself.

Through this competition, we learnt knowledge that are not included in our course notes. There was no formula required to be memorized, no theories to be remembered. Everyone applied what they do best to contribute to winning this competition. We are glad that our team was fortunate enough to win this competition. We were given an opportunity to get ourselves into DemoAsia2012 and a 6,000 SGD fund to commercialize our product idea. If you are interested to find out what's our project about, click here.
