Chinese New Year Party 2012
Huang Jiesi, IEM 4 Student

Chinese New Year is a time for celebrations and reunions. On the 3rd of February, IEM students across all years came together to catch up with each other and with the professors. Sporting students competed with each other at CNY-themed games, including Guess the Number of Oranges, Peel the Pomelo, and Orange Stacko. Multi-talented IEM students put up performances for their fellow coursemates. Before the sumptuous buffet dinner, everyone gathered to toss yusheng, a traditional CNY activity that brings prosperity and luck for the new year. The NTU Lion Dance Club was also called in for a performance, and that brought the event to a new high! Many newly-graduated IEM seniors from the first batch also came to share their working experiences, and to mingle with each other and their juniors.

It was an enjoyable break from the school curriculum, as we look forward to the new year!
