Biography
-
Dr. Li Kwok Hung received the B.Sc. degree in electronics from the Chinese University of
Hong Kong in 1980 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California,
San Diego, in 1983 and 1989, respectively. Since December 1989, he has been with the Nanyang Technological
University, Singapore. He is currently an associate professor in the Division of Communication Engineering and serves as the Head of the Division.
He was the Programme
Director of the MSc programmes in Communications Engineering from 1998 to 2006. His research interest has
centred on the area of digital communication theory with emphasis on spread-spectrum communications, mobile
communications, coding and signal processing. He has published more than 100 papers in journals and conference
proceedings. Dr. Li served as the Chair of IEEE Singapore Communications Chapter from 2000 to 2001. He was also
the General Co-Chair of the 3rd, 4th and 5th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal
Processing (ICICS) held in Singapore and Thailand. He was the Chair of the Chapters Coordination Committee of
the IEEE Asia Pacific Board (APB) from 2004 to 2006.
