Media Technology Lab is a research and development laboratory in the areas of multimedia signal processing and technologies. The aim is to provide environments for active interaction and collaboration among students and staff conducting R&D work in areas on image processing and pattern recognition, video signal processing and content based analysis. The lab supports undergraduate final year projects, postgraduate research, and joint collaboration projects with local industries, multi- national corporations and the government. Major equipment and facilities in the lab includes a sound proof recording room, standalone wired / wireless local area network, workstations and computers, digital camcorder, digital cameras and web cams as well as image and video capture editing system.
