Biography
-
Pina Marziliano received the B.Sc. degree in applied Mathematics in 1994 and the M.Sc. degree in computer science (operations research) in 1996, both from the Universit é de Montr é al. She completed the Ph.D. degree in communication systems at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2001.
She then became a Research Engineer in Genista Corporation, Genimedia SA, Switzerland, where her main task was to develop perceptual quality metrics for images and video.
In March 2003, she was appointed Assistant Professor in the Division of Information Engineering in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Her research interests include sampling theory, biomedical signal and image processing, watermarking and perceptual quality metrics for multimedia
