Biography
-
Dr Yap Kim Hui received the B. Eng. degree in electrical engineering (University Medal Winner and First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney, Australia, in 1998, and Ph.D. degree from the same university in 2002. Since then, he has been working as an assistant professor in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include digital and interactive media processing, medical imaging, computational intelligence, human-computer interaction, and mobile communications. He has more than thirty publications in various well known international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. He is also the editor of a book entitled Intelligent Multimedia Processing with Soft Computing by Springer-Verlag in 2005. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Signal Processing Society Chapter, IEEE Singapore Section, and the Committee Member of the Computational Intelligence Society Chapter, IEEE Singapore Section.
