On 8 Sept 2009, EEE organized a tea reception to welcome the new and current NTU-TUM students (30 of them). One of the objectives is to introduce the staff (from both NTU and GIST-TUM-Asia) to the students.  Most of the students have attended, including those who are currently doing their internship in the local companies. The reception started with welcome notes given by Prof. Tan Ooi Kiang and Prof. Kam Chan Hin (NTU) and Dr. Markus Watchter (GIST-TUM-Asia). The new Program Director (starting 1 Sept 2009) - A/P Ang Lay Kee, Ricky was also introduced to the students. It is shared among the students that NTU and GIST-TUM-Asia will promote and make this joint MSc program into a reknown program among the students interesting in Microelectronics and companies. After the short presentation, the students interact actively with professors and staff from NTU and GIST-TUM-Asia.
