Electronics Lab I
Electronics Lab I is mainly used for teaching second year undergraduate electronic experiments. It also supports final year projects, undergraduate research opportunities programme (UROP) and design & innovation project (DIP).
The Laboratory supports two experiments for second year laboratory:
1) EE2071 Lab 2A L214 - B.J.T. Differential Amplifier:
The objectives of this experiment are:
- To measure the dc biasing conditions of the BJT amplifier;
- To evaluate the small signal gain of the amplifier;
- To analyze the effect of inclusion of an additional emitter resistor.
2) EE2072 Lab 2B L228 - Operational Amplifier – Parameters and Applications:
This experiment is divided into two sections.
- In the first section, we shall examine several basic limitations of an integrated circuit op amp for a linear application.
- In the latter section, we shall examine the effects of the non-idealities of the op amp for non-linear applications -comparator and square-wave oscillator.
