A guide on how to install Windows XP VPN-Client
To create a dial-up connection
Click Start-> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> New Connection Wizard

Click the Next button |

Select the 'Connect to the network at my workplace' tab and click the Next button. |

Select the 'Virtual Private Network connection' tab and click the Next button. |
|
|
Enter any name in the box. For example: NTU VPN. Click the Next button. |

Select the 'Do not dial the initial connection' tab and click the Next button.

|
Enter the VPN remote server:
vpngate.ntu.edu.sg
|
|
|
Select the 'Anyone's use' tab and click the Next button. |
The setup is completed and you may launch the tunneling to NTU Campus network by entering your userid, password and domain name (student or staff). Use the format student\userid or staff\userid to logon to the Campus network.
Please note that you must be connected to the Internet before you can perform the tunneling.

Before you make any VPN connection, please disable any
firewall or 'Internet Connection Sharing' that is running at the background of
your computer system.
