Introduction

It is about building the resilience to recognise the potential problems and delays and be able to set and balance competing work priorities. Everyone can learn how to adapt well in the face of challenges, adversity, or significant sources of stress. Learning how to set effective goals and working together to achieve it will build a culture of collaboration and high performance. All these are within reach when we develop the necessary mental skills, emotional regulation and team approach in goal achievement.

Trainer(s)

Mr Lim, Say Teck Richard

Richard Lim is a Consultant Psychotherapist in private practice and a Training Consultant since 2001. In the early 1990s, Richard was involved in training government officials in strategic thinking and socio-political competence. Subsequently in the mid-1990s, he was actively engaged in community welfare projects and services. Currently, beside therapeutic consultation, Richard provides leadership training and consultancy to groups within public and private sector organisations. Most of these training and consultancy focus on enhancing knowledge and skills in relationship, communication, group facilitation, wellness, counselling and conflict management.

Richard has worked with groups of staff from organisations like Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shell, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Barclays Capital, National Panasonic, Fujitsu, Courts, PSA, HDB, SMRT, MCYS, NIE, MOH, MTI, NEA, NCSS, SSC, PA and tertiary institutions like NUS, NTU and SMU. He was an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Business School (NTU) on management and leadership.

Richard also runs supervision groups for counsellors in community agencies regularly and trains students in counselling and psychology programmes with various academic institutions in Singapore and the region. He is the current President of the Psychotherapy Association of Singapore, the Vice President of the Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy. Richard is also the Training Consultant for the Civil Service College on wellness that focuses on building resilience in relationships and families for nation building.

Replacement Policy

Given a 3 days notice before course commencement, companies may replace participants who have signed up for the course. Terms and conditions apply.

 

There is no replacement for participant utilising SkillsFuture Credit. Participant to cancel their SkillsFuture Credit claim with WDA.
