Integrated Circuit ProfessionaL Upgrading
Series
(IC-PLUS)
IC-PLUS, one of the PMEs’
initiatives under Skills Training for Excellence
Programme (STEP), encompass a series of Integrated
Circuit (IC) Professional Development Programmes (PDP);
aiming to enable Professionals, Managerial and
Executives (PMEs) in acquiring the latest IC technology
knowledge, trends and tools to enhance and deepen their
existing capabilities.
In collaboration with
VIRTUS (Latin for Excellence) IC Design Centre of
Excellence, NTU-CCE proposed a series of Integrated
Circuit (IC) PDP in the areas such as, analog IC design,
signal integrity and IC packaging. Due to the rapid
advancement in IC design, these courses are intended to
cover not only the fundamental principles and theories,
but also the current industrial practices. It is an
avenue for participants to raise current industrial
issues for active discussions.

This course aims to provide
a deep understanding of the fundamental principles
underlying the core technology of integrated circuit
(IC) packaging for participants, and build-up their
ability in IC packaging design, materials, thermal
management, fabrication and characterization.
Participants are expected to have a good knowledge on
the fundamental theories, design, simulation,
fabrication processes and possible failure mechanisms
relating to IC packaging for different applications and
be motivated to apply IC packaging design, innovation
and failure analysis methods to applications of their
own interests and relate to their own individual
research and development areas.

S$1690.60 (inclusive of GST)
Fee
After Subsidy:
S$845.30 (inclusive of GST)
|
The course deals with the
analysis and design of RF integrated circuits, RF IC
modeling, and provides a systematic view on RF ICs. The
course will handle the architectures and also emphasizes
circuit level designs with respect to CMOS VLSI
technologies. At the completion of the subject,
participants should be able to appreciate the system
considerations and the circuit behaviours, understand
the methodologies for the design and modeling of RF
integrated circuits, understand the design
considerations of RF integrated circuits and hence
capable of analysing and synthesising new RF
architectures based on the concept learned in the
course, and understand the effects of the parasitic
parameters introduced from layout of a block of CMOS
circuit.
