Assertive does not equate to Aggressive or Arrogant. These are all 3 different states. Assertiveness lies between passivity and aggression. Being assertive is standing up for your own personal rights and expressing your beliefs without violating others' rights. Assertive people influence others in positive ways, are non-judgmental and adopt a proactive rather than a reactive approach.
In this Assertiveness Training Course, you will learn the various building blocks from enhancing your self esteem, listening skills to learning to say "No". From either a passive or aggressive person, you can develop to a more assertive person. This will increase your confidence and effectiveness in handling conflicts and constructive dialogue with others. |

With multi-tasking, limited resources and tight deadlines at the workplace, chances of conflict are ever increasing. - Must be a Singaporean
- Must be age 50 and above during the year of course date (Year of birth 1966 and ealier)
- Must not have attended more than 3 NSA supported courses by NTU
- Subsidy placement is on a first-come-first served basis - For more information related to NSA, please visit www.nsa.org.sg
* Participants who do not fulfil the above
criteria are not eligible for NSA subsidy, and
are required to pay the course fee in full.
