Organisational Structure

The governance body of  BMERC is the appointed Director and Deputy Directors. These appointments are officially affirmed by the Council of Nanyang Technological University. The directorship of BMERC reports to the Executive Committee of College of Engineering via the Director and Deputy Director of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Engineering Cluster. BMERC is also closely collaborating and associated with the other two research centres (Centre for Chiral & Pharmaceutical Engineering & Centre for Biotechnology) and two specialist laboratories (Computer Integrated Medical Intervention Laboratory & Physiological Mechanics Laboratory) of the Cluster.

The Singapore-University of Washington Alliance (SUWA) in Bioengineering consists of the Distributed Diagnosis & Home Healthcare as well as Engineered Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering initiatives. The Alliance represents a formal agreement between researchers and educators in Singapore and their counterparts at the University of Washington and its Department of Bioengineering.
