URECA is the acronym for Undergraduate Research Experience on CAmpus, a university wide programme to cultivate a research culture amongst the most able undergraduates in NTU. Though young by international standards, it is a unique opportunity for NTU undergraduates to touch, feel and experience research at a level not available elsewhere.

The opportunity to undertake URECA is strictly by invitation and only to the most academically able 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates. These undergraduates will be given the coveted title: “NTU President Research Scholar” (PRS) or “DSO-URECA Research Scholar”.

This 'select' group of undergraduates is eligible for stipend and if they choose to undertake URECA. In the URECA programme, NTU PRSs and DSO-URECA Research Scholars are required to offer the Undergraduate Research general elective which they will work on a research project (from any school) for an average of 10 hours/week for 10 months (September to June)in an academic year.

If you are eligible to be become an NTU PRS or DSO-URECA Research Scholar, you will receive an invitation in August.
