About the Joint Lab
The Intelligent Media joint lab aims to develop various cross-media and media-specific technologies for modeling and working with text, audio, images and video data as well as their unification and association at the semantic conceptual level, based on XML schema and MPEG7 standards.
This program is a collaboration work between Institute for Infocomm Research and School of Computer Engineering in Nanyang Technological University. Our aim is to build capabilities and tools for cross-media content analysis and fusion.
The Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R) is a member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) family. The research capabilities are in information technology and science, wireless and optical communications, and media analysis, processing and applications. We seek to enable technologies and processes that will drive new and enhanced services for Singapore’s knowledge-based economy.
SCE conducts cutting-edge research in a wide spectrum of technological areas and has established extensive R&D collaborations with renowned international ( Japan, EU, India, PRC, USA etc) and local institutions as well as the industry.
We look forward to a fruitful collaboration work through this project.
