Multiscale Process Systems Engineering
The Multiscale Process Systems Engineering (mPSE) group focuses on the design, synthesis, optimization, operation, control and planning and scheduling of chemical process systems. Multi-scale modeling is a key activity where engineering problems are simulated at various spatial (molecular, meso and macro) and temporal scales. Advances in computer technologies have boosted developments in mPSE, allowing us to tackle challenging problems and implement ideas previously limited by lack of technologies. Research in mPSE is industry relevant and its outcomes go directly towards solving real problems in a wide range of industries.
