  • Drug discovery: Using biosensor-based high throughput assays to discover novel anticancer drugs from Chinese herbal medicines.
  • Pharmaceutical engineering: Studying the molecular mechanisms of apoptosis induced by anti-cancer drugs and pharmacokinetics of drug candidates using cancer cell lines and animal models.
  • Nanomedicine: Using nanotechnology to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of the lead compounds and evaluating the resulting particles using a Caco-2 cell monolayer model and animal models.
