The aim of the committee is to promote and ensure, through the process of joint consultation, the health and welfare of all employees students and visitors in the School. The safety committee is comprised of members having experience in chemical, biological and radiation agents. The committee has the capability to assess the safety of the research experiments and any potential risk to public health or the environment. The committee conducts facility inspections in order to have safe working environment

Recommend actions regarding safe work systems, including safe practice, procedures, working environments and equipment
Recommend safety and health education and training
Assist with the promotion of health and safety throughout the school
Conduct regular lab audits to identify areas for improvement
Conduct regular briefings to raise general safety awareness
Comply with safety regulations from relevant authorities
