About the Symposium

The symposium is to provide a platform for industry professionals, government officials and multilateral agency representatives to present the latest developments relating to carbon emissions reduction project developments as well as risk transfer, financing and management mechanisms. The symposium will serve as an excellent opportunity for participants to learn first hand about the successful cases in Asia and the roles of carbon markets in Europe, Australia and US. It is the venue for the stakeholders involved including carbon credit buyers and sellers to exchange views and opinions in a conductive environment.

Key topics in this symposium include:

- Carbon Financing and Trading, Policy and Regulations
- CDM development
- Risks associated with investments
- Forecast and global outlook of Carbon Market

There are also two pre-symposium workshops (Session A and B) to be included in this symposium. Workshop Session A will be conducted by Mr. Ashutosh Pandey, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Advisory Business of Emergent Ventures India.  Workshop Session B will be conducted by Mr. Marcelo Labre, who is Global Head of Quantitative Analytics and Risk Methods at Standard Bank, currently overseeing valuation and risk models in all trading and banking businesses.
