Maritime Research Centre

Maritime Research Centre (MRC), is dedicated to the research and development of port and maritime technology.

Established jointly by  MPA   and NTU, it serves to coordinate research and development effort among various local and international organisations.


The centre is supported by staff from NTU and MPA.

Students working in maritime related projects or attached to maritime related companies during their attachment can apply for additional grants/sponsorship. See Programmes for more information.

The Maritime Research Centre is a multi-disciplinary research and development centre established jointly by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Maritime Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore. The Centre inititates and undertakes research to develop technologies and IT applications in the port and maritime field.
