Your years at NTU may seem like a long time ago, or maybe it was just last year. Nevertheless, as graduates, you share the same history of having walked similar halls in the North or South spine, mugging for exams, complaining about canteen food and most importantly, finishing with an NTU degree – you survived!
Your alma mater is growing -- graduating more students every year as a result of new programmes like the College of Science or the College of Art, Design and Media, or creating new institutes like the Earth Observatory of Singapore, led by Prof. Kerry Sieh who has been studying the area in Indonesia where the devastating 2004 tsunami took place. He published an article in the journal Science predicting that a similar force of nature is likely within the next thirty years. Publications around the globe picked up this story such as the New York Times and the UK Times highlighting NTU as a top-notch institution working on life-changing research. As an alum, this association is something to be proud of, and will increase the recognition and reputation of your NTU degree.
We ask you to remember, honor and support your alma mater annually, and to give to this year’s Annual Giving Campaign. Gifts can be directed to your fellow juniors who need financial help, as scholarships at your School or the General Endowment Fund. All gifts at any level will be greatly appreciated and will be matched dollar for dollar by the Singapore government. The time is now – please give and lend your support to your alma mater, NTU.
Thank you.
